Terms of Use

Last updated: 7 August 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use apply when you access or use Findami.

Findami is an independent online social experiment currently offered without charge. It allows people to leave a wish and receive an anonymous public wish written by another person.

By using Findami, you agree to follow these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, do not submit a wish or use the reporting functions.

2. Age requirement

Findami is intended only for people aged 16 or over.

People under the age of 16 must not submit public wishes or reports.

Content may be removed if Findami reasonably believes that it was submitted in violation of this age requirement.

3. How Findami works

A user writes a short wish and chooses whether to share it publicly or keep it private.

Public wishes

A public wish is sent to Findami and stored with a pending status.

It may be manually reviewed before it is approved. Only approved wishes may be shown randomly to other users.

Submission does not guarantee approval, publication, a particular number of views or permanent availability.

Private wishes

When the private option is selected, the text is not sent to or stored in the Findami database.

It remains temporarily in the user's browser during the experience.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the content that you submit.

Before submitting a public wish, make sure that it does not identify you or another person and that you have the right to submit its contents.

Do not assume that anonymity is guaranteed merely because Findami does not request an account or name. Details contained in freely written text may still identify someone.

5. Prohibited content

You must not use Findami to submit, promote or distribute:

  • full names, addresses, contact details, social media profiles or other identifying data;
  • personal information relating to another person without a lawful reason and their permission where required;
  • health information or other sensitive personal data;
  • passwords, access credentials, financial information or identity-document details;
  • threats, targeted harassment, bullying, intimidation or encouragement of violence;
  • hateful or discriminatory content directed at a person or group;
  • sexually exploitative content or any sexual content involving minors;
  • instructions, requests or encouragement for criminal or seriously dangerous activities;
  • scams, impersonation, spam, advertising or repeated promotional messages;
  • content that infringes copyright, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
  • malicious code, attempts to interfere with the website or attempts to bypass security controls;
  • content that is otherwise unlawful under applicable law.

This list is not exhaustive. Content may also be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect users, third parties, the project or its infrastructure.

6. Moderation

Public wishes may be reviewed manually before being displayed.

Findami may approve, reject, hide or delete content that violates these Terms, presents a legal or safety risk, contains personal data or is unsuitable for the purpose of the project.

Moderation decisions are made using the information reasonably available at the time. Approval does not mean that Findami endorses, verifies or agrees with a wish.

Findami may reconsider a previous moderation decision after receiving a report or obtaining new information.

7. Reporting a wish

A displayed wish can be reported through the “Report this wish” function.

Reports should identify the actual problem and should not be submitted merely because the reporter disagrees with or dislikes a harmless wish.

False, abusive, automated or repeated reports may be disregarded.

Reports concerning allegedly illegal content, urgent safety issues or formal legal requests may also be sent to findami.it@gmail.com. Include the relevant wish, the reason for the request and enough information to evaluate it.

8. Licence for public wishes

You retain any rights you may have in the original content of your wish.

By submitting a public wish, you grant Findami a non-exclusive, royalty-free and revocable permission to store, review, reproduce and display the wish only as necessary to operate, moderate, protect and maintain the Findami experience.

This permission ends when the wish is deleted from the active service, except where temporary retention is necessary for backups, security, legal obligations or the protection of legal rights.

Findami does not acquire ownership of the wish.

9. Deleting your wish

After submitting a public wish, you receive a secret deletion link.

Anyone who possesses that link can delete the wish. You are responsible for keeping it private.

If the link is lost, Findami may be unable to verify who submitted the wish. A deletion request may therefore require the exact text or other information sufficient to locate the relevant content.

Deleting a wish prevents future display by Findami but cannot remove screenshots, copies or reproductions independently made by other people.

10. No professional or emergency service

Findami is not a medical, psychological, legal, financial, crisis or emergency support service.

Wishes are written anonymously by users and must not be treated as professional advice, verified information or instructions.

If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or an appropriate qualified service in your location.

11. Availability and changes

Findami is an experimental service. It may be modified, interrupted, suspended or discontinued at any time.

Features, languages, moderation procedures and technical providers may change as the project develops.

Findami does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, delivery of a particular wish or preservation of submitted content beyond the periods described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Security and misuse

You must not attempt to:

  • obtain unauthorised access to the database, administrative area or other systems;
  • discover, steal or misuse deletion links, passwords, tokens or secret keys;
  • overwhelm the service with automated or excessive requests;
  • manipulate counters, reports, moderation statuses or displayed wishes;
  • bypass Turnstile, rate limits or other security measures.

Access may be restricted and relevant evidence may be preserved where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service or comply with legal obligations.

13. Responsibility and legal protections

Findami applies reasonable measures to moderate content and protect the service, but it cannot guarantee that every inappropriate, inaccurate or unlawful wish will be detected before it is displayed.

Users should not include confidential information or rely on wishes for important personal decisions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

14. Privacy

Information about the processing of personal data, technical providers, retention periods and user rights is available in the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when Findami changes, when new risks are identified or when legal requirements change.

The latest update date will be displayed at the beginning of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated through the website.

16. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any mandatory protections that apply to users under the law of their country of residence.

17. Contact

For questions about these Terms, moderation, safety or legal requests, contact findami.it@gmail.com.
